Thoughts and prayers are being expressed across the world after a man called Paul was served a filling-less pasty from Greggs.

Paul stepped out of work to get his lunch and was looking forwards to tucking into a beef and vegetable savory snack.

But what was meant to be a glorious meal in Hull ended with him feeling confused and deflated and being laughed at by his friends.

He Realized That early on there might be something amiss with His lunch. It Seemed lighter than previous pastries and Looked strange in shape Compared to other pasties.

With no time to go back and complain, he has now turned to the press to share his heartbreaking ordeal.

Paul said: ‘On my way back to work, I bit into it and realized that it had no filling in it at all.

‘I was quite deflated. I paid £ 1.85 for a shell – a very disappointing shell. I showed my friends and they all laughed at me.

‘I was quite annoyed in the end as I didn’t have time to go back, so I ended up without any lunch. You just wonder, how did that get out on the shelf? ‘

Despite the let-down, Paul told Hull Live he’ll still be heading back to Greggs as it’s ‘his favorite’.

However, he’ll be checking the weight of his pastries as ‘they can trick me once, but they won’t trick me twice’.

A Greggs spokesperson has vowed to make things right.

They said: ‘Oh crumbs! We certainly didn’t intend for our Beef and Vegetable Pasty to be given to this customer without the tasty filling.

‘We’d love the customer to get in touch with us through our customer care team so we can put it right for them.’
