THIS Morning anchor Alison Hammond meant business as she wowed in a hot pink power suit before announcing her new project.
The presenter, 47, dazzled in the longline fuchsia jacket paired with matching slit trousers in the ITV studio.
She paired the attire with a black vest top and strappy sandals.
Clearly chuffed with her look, which showed off her recent weight loss, the mum of one flashed a signature beaming smile to the camera.
Alison revealed the reason for her huge grin in her next Instagram post, when she opened up on her next career project.
She excitedly announced in her caption: “Black in Time !!! Coming soon – The Children’s book I would have loved as a child. 💕”
The image showed an official announcement for her new tome, Black In Time, published by Puffin.
A summary read: “TV presenter Hammond takes readers on a journey through British history to highlight important Black figures and the impact they have made on our society.
“Acquired alongside a memoir and adult novel.”
Alison’s Instagram fans were quick to respond in excitement, as one wrote: “Love this so much – thank you Alison our children so need this ❤️.”
Another added: “Fantastic -all children need this book! ❤️🙌” as a third posted: “This is amazing ❤️❤️ congratulations Alison 🙌🙌 shedding light on history and the important models who changed our society.”
One then cheered: “Whoop whoop Your up there with them Alison.”
WEIGHT LOSS BATTLE
Alison previously revealed she weighed 20 stone at her heaviest.
The star said her mother’s death from liver and lung cancer in 2020 was a huge motivator in her battle to lose weight, started working out with a personal trainer.
She also teamed up with Weight Watchers, and revealing her weight loss secret, she said: “I didn’t realize that often when I used to snack, it was because I was thirsty. I try to get through at least two liters of water every day now and that makes me feel so much better.
“Secondly, I’m doing a bit more exercise,” the presenter added.
“I now have a personal trainer and he’s amazing. I work at my own pace – we do circuits and I absolutely love it.”
In October, the 5ft 9ins star revealed her ongoing struggle to lose weight on This Morning.
She said she felt “at the bottom of the pit” in her obesity crisis – and asked for help to “claw” herself out of it.
“You kind of feel like you’re at the bottom of the pit and you’ve got to claw out of it.”
Earlier this month, she broke down in tears as she opened up on her weight loss battle during a discussion about obesity.
