This hilarious Disney spin-off is the ‘antidote to life’ which you’ve probably overlooked

There are a loads of Disney and Pixar movies out there. From the first Disney animated feature-film in 1937, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, to Encanto released just last year, you probably think you’re on top of most of it.

There are bound to be some films you’ve simply never seen (The Hunchback of What?) But there is one collection you have very probably overlooked and if you have, you should definitely go and seek out.

Olaf Presents is a spin-off of the Frozen films and stars (as the title suggests) the snowman, Olaf. Each of the five spin-off episodes is only a three-minute short and contains a unique retelling (by Olaf) of one of Disney’s classics.

With help from Sven the reindeer and Marshmallow, from Frozen. Josh Gad, the voice of Olaf in the Frozen films, reprises his role by him and delivers dramatic reenactments of the key moments from favorites including: The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Lion King, Tangled and Moana.

“I hate all your human stuff,” yells King Triton to Ariel (both played by Olaf), “You’re a scavenger, just like your mother!”. And in Olaf Presents The Lion King, he holds up a baby snowman and does the singing … you know what we’re talking about.

IMDB features rave reviews of the spin-off, which is tucked away on Disney + and received little promotion. One reviewers says: “After a rough week at work, I put these on for something not too taxing on my brain. WOW! I loved these sooooooo much. Olaf’s unique way of telling stories was just what I needed. Made me laugh, cheered me up and was so good I watched it all through about four times. Definite favorite that I will return to. Anyone who doesn’t love it, has no soul. Beautiful !. ”

Another said: “This show was really funny. Not only did my kids laugh but my wife laughed the most. I thought it was amusing, but hearing them laugh was the best part.”

You can watch Olaf Presents on Disney +.
