Helen Flanagan says she feels ‘quite emotional’ about the thought of no longer breastfeeding her one year-old-son Charlie.

The actress, 32, took to her Instagram page on Saturday detailing her one year journey nursing her youngest child, while sharing a snap of herself breastfeeding.

Helen, shares daughters Matilda, six, and Delilah, three – as well as son Charlie with Preston North End player Scott Sinclair.

The TV personality opened up candidly for her 1 million followers giving an honest account of how the journey has helped her mentally and physically, while also detailing what she’s missed out on.

She wrote: ‘1 year of feeding you my precious baby boy.

‘I’m not too sure when our feeding journey will come to an end … I am thinking I will keep nursing through the summer .. I think it’s a comfort to him with his teething … it’s great for flying to calm him.

‘I love breastfeeding as I like the bonding (I know you can bond with your babies in lots of ways of corse)[sic]

‘I like that it’s just something that I can do and that my baby needs just me. He’s likely my last baby and I want to soak this all up. I feel quite emotional about stopping. ‘

‘I love looking down and seeing his cute little face and big brown eyes … I think it calms me if I feel anxious’

She then went on to detail some of the personal time that she longed for, adding:

‘Though I miss … Being able to have more time on my own with Scott. Being on my own (not for a long period I suppose just having more freedom) Being able to take the girls for one and one trips on their own.

She concluded by joking: ‘I would say having perky boobs but that’s a long time gone now.’

Helen’s sincere post comes as she and her footballer beau have been enjoying a sun soaked getaway in Dubai.

On Friday the former soap star took to her social media to document their getaway.

The former Coronation Street was glowing as she went makeup free and showed off her sun kissed complexion for the family’s relaxing day out at the beach.

She pulled her blonde locks back into a practical high ponytail and donned a pair of cat eye framed sunglasses.

Footballer Scott opted for some oval gold shaped sunglasses with brown tinted lenses as he pulled his wife and baby in close for the snap.

Alongside the sweet photo Helen penned: ‘Lovely break away with my boys at our fave hotel we missed you @leroyalmeridiendubai.’

The couple, who also share two daughters, Matilda, six and Delilah, three secretly moved into a new ‘forever’ home in August last year.

Earlier this month, Helen gave her fans a glimpse inside her stunning home, with the star setting up a dedicated home account to document its progress as she continues with renovations.

Helen pulled out all the stops, with the home featuring a Harry-Potter playroom for her children, fitted wardrobes and plush gray furniture in the living room.

Though Helen hasn’t shared much on the account over the past six months, the last week has seen her give fans more insight into her home, with the star also sharing glimpse on her main account.

The mother-of-three has given her children the playroom of dreams, with the Harry Potter themed room adorned with themed motifs, a broom over the door and even a starry night sky scattered with letters from Hogwarts.

She wrote: ‘So before we moved into our house Scott and I had always rented with his football and moving. Before I always had their toys in the living room so was lovely to have a play room.

‘I worked with a company called The Clutter Fairies (north west based) to organize and declutter my home. It was great to declutter properly and get a lot to charity.

‘We labled the boxes so it was easy for me to tidy away and keep organized. A children’s play room is always going to be a bit chaotic and never perfectly organized but I think this gives some order. ‘
